Dr. Lianna Jarecki is an educator, environmental advocate and wetlands ecologist, with a PhD in Biodiversity Management from the University of Kent, United Kingdom. Joining in 1993, Lianna was one of the first science lecturers at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, Tortola and in this role she built multiple programmes that would give students the knowledge and skills to pursue careers in medicine, research science, nature conservation and sustainable development. Lianna is now semi-retired, but occasionally conducts environmental consultancies and philanthropy work within the Virgin Islands.
